The Timeless Way of Building
Indoor Level » Devlog
Built certain features of my level based off of the properties taught by Jesse Schell in his GDC video, The Nature of Order in Game Narrative.
I used Alternating Repetition at the beginning of my level with a repeating pattern of gates and pillars in the dungeon area.
I used Lights on Two Sides of Every Room in each hallway by putting torches on opposing wall to give proper lighting.
I used Positive Space at the end of my level by using light to create the outline on a door in a dark hallway.
Next I want to work on...
- Creating a flythrough camera
